Vinyl Monday: Lavender Diamond.

Vinyl Monday

Hopefully, you are as excited as I am about the unveiling of the new format for Music Mondays!!!!

I've been trying to find a way to make my music posts more personal and less like dumping a Youtube video and a copy/pasted bio from Wikipedia on my blog and this was my solution.

Every Monday, I will share a photo of a record from my personal collection, along with a short anecdote that's relevant to each particular post. I feel as though my lil' blog baby is growing up, and that's it's time to try some new ideas out. Ya hear me?

So without further adieu, I am pleased to bring you my very first "Vinyl Monday" post!!!!

Becky Stark (of Lavender Diamond) didn't deny my friend request on facebook, and while that may not seem like a big deal, it sort of is to me. In my head, Facebook is way more interpersonal than myspace of friendster ever was. So when you send requests to strangers, you're more than likely going to be shut down. She didn't shut me down. This action has skyrocketed her to the top of my "most inspiring people list" (which I am going to share very soon!). So obviously her selfless gesture of internet friendliness has led me to rediscovering how much I loved Lavender Diamond's 2007 album "Imagine Our Love".

And as an added bonus, the video I chose to share was directed by another amazing artist who has also been a featured Music Monday artist recently, Sia.

I hope you love this!
