Salad Sweater!!!!!!

seamless raglan FO

It's finally finished! I'm sooooooo excited! This is the first sweater I've knit that I won't have to hide.

Maybe it was Elizabeth Zimmermann's "pithy" instructions, or the tasty Malabrigo named after food but something clicked this time.

Pattern Particulars
Pattern Source: Seamless Raglan from Knitting Without Tears by Elizabeth Zimmermann
Needles: Clover Takumi 32" Circulars US sz. 8, Addi Natura 16" circulars US sz. 8

Materials: 5 skeins of Malabrigo Worsted Merino in Lettuce (from Misocrafty's de-stash) and one in Glazed Carrot (from Webs).
Time: I didn't actually time this project but I did start it in June.
Loved: the ease of the pattern and the perfect fit. Because EZ pretty much forces you to pay attention to the gauge, you shouldn't expect anything less.
Hated: nothing. I want to knit like, 300 sweaters now.

Even Jesse Spano is excited, see?

That is too awesome! And it looks so good on you! I almost bought myself that malabrigo colorway the other day, but I'm not sure it'd look nearly as good on me! EZ would be proud of you. ;-)

Sweet! I love the lettuce and glazed carrot colors. Great job!

Isn't that true, you are so proud when you finish a sweater, and then the pride when you finish one you can wear outside. Wear it well!

Oh, and I do love the new site - I realize its mostly the same, but it doesn't crash my computer like the blogspot one did, so now I can comment on all your cool stuff again...

Most excellent! Great choice of colours, and the fit and finish are wonderful. You are now one finished sweater up on me. Maybe I should give it a try. Hope my (eventual) sweater comes out as well as yours!

I was afraid to play that video. I knew exactly which Jesse Spano clip it was going to be. But alas, I did. And once again, the acting prowess that is Elizabeth Berkeley has rendered me speechless.

And so has that sweater!!! So awesome! I say it's a less is more thing, who needs some way involved complicated pattern, her recipes are perfect! Congrats!

I LOVE IT!! So much! Seriously, it's like The Perfect Sweater. Congrats!

Also, congrats on the new domain, and thanks for reminding us of the wholesome bad acting of Jesse Spano -- it had been overshadowed in my mind by the trashy bad acting of Nomi Malone. ;)

Very nice work! You sport green even better than me, and I have red hair! :) I really like how you finished the bottom with the orange--that's something I've never attempted. It's a great detail!

YUM!! I love it! Some day I might actually buy some Malabrigo.

Oh, and thanks for the Saved by the Bell flashback. :) I miss that show some days.

That's an absolute stunner! Love it!

And you know what, are your sideburns new, or have I never noticed them before? Badly Coloured Boy has burns the size of yours, so I always look upon such facial hair with fondness :)
