twilight.

We've already come to the realization that I'll read anything. I actually started this book out of curiosity, we started selling merch for it at the store I work in. I had no intention to enjoy it, or even finish it for that matter. I just wanted to see what the hype was about and see if it could in fact fill the hole that "the boy who lived" left in my life last year.

I was pleasantly surprised when i couldn't put this book down. At all. I read it @ work, @ home, in the car, and anywhere else I could find a few minutes. It's not a literary masterpiece, Stephanie Meyer isn't going to be the Joyce Carol Oates or anything like that, but the god damned story is sooooooooo good. I'm not going to spoil it for everyone and talk about the story (but if you've read it and want to chat, leave a comment!). I finished it in a couple of days and started the next book in the series already.

and if that not enough for you knitters...

yarn in colorways named after Bella's hometown:

Forks-Twilight II @
Septembrina

Shades of Forks from the Twilight Saga.

"This is what I think Bella sees when she looks out her window in the mornings. Thick fog and dense shades of spruce. Better put on a nice pair of socks."

And Ravelry Groups:

Twilight Saga Fans

Twilight Saga Fans Book Club

But there's also a movie coming out:

so just go read it? okay?

I was waiting for the library to come through with an interlibary loan, but now I'm just going to have to go out and buy it. You've sealed the deal. I keep hearing good things and I need a vacation read.

I've been contemplating putting this book on hold at the library to see what the fuss is all about.

I have read all 4 of the books. I did not hear about the series until this year in may. I was listening to NPR and someone did an interview with Stephenie Meyer and when people said they enjoyed this series as much as Harry Potter I had to read it and find out for myself. Happy reading.

I read this last year and agree it is great. (I have ready 3 in the series now, but decided to stop there).
The story is addictive and the capturing of teenage lust and akwardness makes it hard to put down.

I'm intrigued by these books... Teenage Vampires? Well, I still adore the movie The Lost Boys. But still, I always worry about young adult fiction that takes off like wildfire, it reminds me of the Sweet Valley High series from my day. Ugh. Still, there was an interview w/the author on CBS last Sunday Morning. She was actually raised Mormon. This just intrigues me more... Hmm, don't know if I'll read it but I'll probably see the movie. I hope it's as good as The Lost Boys. :)

I've been toying around with reading this book. You've convinced me to pick myself up a copy. If you like it, it can't be that bad! ;)

I've been wanting to read the series for along time, but my time is always jepordized by something else in my life. I need to read more. Now that the movie's gonna come out, I have to buy it.

I am so mad at myself for loving that book. I didn't mean to enjoy it either, but it ate me alive. I finished it in a day.
