Harold and Maude remains, to this day, my favorite movie of all time. More recently, however, I will admit to having been quite affected by the movie, "Into the Wild." There's something very moving about his plight, and something beyond frustrating about his stupidity. I just can't stop thinking about it.

I was just going to say; 'Into the Wild', no kidding! It moved me profoundly and I cried through most of it!

There's definitely a lot more shit to sift through these days! American Splendor brings a big smile to my face. And I was mesmerized by The Motorcycle Diaries.

Yes, I agree, they don't make 'em like that anymore. How about the German film "The lives of Others"?

How about the German film "The lives of Others? I think it won an Oscar for best foreign film last year. A story of true courage and decency. No memorable soundtrack music though.

You know this is true. You can look and look but you can't find anything close to what Harold & Maude did to us who felt the way Harold did about the world.

I really can't find anything.
