Here in New Jersey, we're in the midst of the most disgusting heatwave ever!!! Today, I think there was a point where it reached 115 degrees. Gross!
What better way to celebrate than by having a yard sale?
The thing is that once you pay for a permit, that's it. You're sort of locked in.
So, we dragged our things out on to Dave's aunt's front lawn (which is 2 blocks from the beach), and baked them under the hottest sun.
I wish I could complain, but we made almost $200. Not bad for three hours of saying "hello" to strangers.

you just cant beat a yard sale! someone else's old items getting a new life, love it. and making a little cash isnt bad either :)
That's so cool! I used to play with one of those bead toys at the doctor's when I was little.
We had a yard sale when we moved from Queensland 2 years ago. You don't have to buy a permit over here but we had people turning up to our house at 5am!
Reuben :D
I need to go to more yard sales - they're so much fun.
$200 isn't too bad, good job!
My husband has suggested we have one - I am not motivated though lol.. maybe when the weather is a little cooler
I wanted to do a yard sale before I moved ;-; and yeah why didnt you tell me east coast is currently deathly hot right now I almost died on the street the other day!
Also for a yard sale 200 bucks is awesome. In san antonio thatd be a dream come true, anyway.
200 bucks! that isn't bad at all! we only made 30 with our last yard sale. so disappointing.
