Yeah, I did it myself...

Remember that sock yarn I bought from StickChick? I finally got around to dyeing it this weekened. I used Wiltons Icing Dye in Royal Blue and Leaf Green. I dyed yarn a few times before, but it was the first time I did two colors at one time. It was wayyyy easier to clean up than the Kool-Aid fiasco. I'm pretty happy with results, and Dave loves the colors. I didn't bother to re-hank it (the first one ended up in the biggest knot I've ever seen). So this is the final product:
I haven't really talked about the pillow I'm making yet!!! I'm pretty excited about it, actually. I'm knitting it on the bias, so the Noro makes diagonal stripes. I'm not using a pattern, and I think it's looking pretty good anyway. I need to stop by the LYS and pick up another skein to finish up the back. Here's the top piece:
I'm thinking of casting on Criminy Jickets Garterlac Dishcloth tonight, we'll see if I get that far. I need to get somee things done around the house and I'm starting to get a headache, YUK!

Oh yeah! We washed Adrienne the other day and i got a really cute picture...

Love the new sock yarn, pretty colors. As for a kitty bath. We tried that once with my cat, Pixie. It took Hubby and I both to hold her down and Hubby got scratched up ferociously. Hehehe...my cat + a bath is a bad thing. Not gonna happen again.

The yarn came out great. I have never dyed that way (believe it or not). I usually do the micro method and no mess, no clean up. Maybe once Fall arrives and my dd is back in school, you can come over and we can dye away.

That pillow is going to look great.

Did you drug that poor kitty? When I had cats, I had to wrap them in a towel (like a papoose) and dip, dip and then drop the towel and run like hell-(my cats were inside cats and I only had to two this twice, but it sticks in my head so strongly).

omg you you are so amazing, dying your own yarn and crap. hahaha. no really, it looks so great!! i wish i had the patience to dye my own yarn too.

and hello, how cute is that kitty taking a bath?!?!! i used to give mine a "shower" basically stand her in the dub and pour water over her. she was pretty good, stood in place but had that horrified look on her face!!

I don't usually post (I know -I'm a lurker) but I am also a sucker for a cute cat photo and that is an adorable shot. We one time had to dip our cats and washing four cats is misery. Cute shot of the kittie!

I love the way that Noro knitted up . . . lately I've been seeing lots 'n' lots of cool Noro stuff, which means I need some!! I also think that hand dyed yarn looks snazzy . . . really beautiful colors.

And that's a precious kitty picture. And this is from someone who isn't a cat person.

The yarn you dyed looks amazing! How's that knot coming? is it any better than the last time I was there?

Aww, Adrianne looks so cute. How did she take the bath? Mittens tries to kill you if you even bring her into the bathroom. Hope for your sake Adrianne's better then that. LOL.
