vinyl monday: vampire weekend.

Vinyl Monday

Can you believe it's already 70 degrees?! It's such a nice day! Unfortunately, the remainder of mine will spent working; I wanted to take at least a couple of minutes to have some fun in the sun.

Vampire Weekend (though not really "deck" anymore) are still a quintessential spring/summer band. Their cheery, wasp-y sound is the perfect compliment to khakis and polo shirts, mojitos and bare ankles. Perfect.

I had to sneak onto our tennis courts through a hole in the fence. No one uses them and they've fallen into disrepair, so the association put massive padlocks on the gates. Good times.

What are your favorite "summer" jams?

I love Vampire Weekend! It's getting into colder weather here now, but summer reminds me of Queen - lots of road trips happen in summer, and the Queen cassette hasn't given up yet! ~_^
