It was rainy and foggy all day, so I wasn't able to go outside and take pictures, so you get to see a part of my super basic kitchen. We have a ton of plants in there, so it's sort of like a little jungle. It's actually my favorite room in the house. My Great Grandma would sit in her kitchen for most of the day (until her "stories" came on, anyway), and I feel really connected to her when I'm in my own kitchen. It's really like an energy center or something; there are positive vibes just sort of floating around in the air. I read recently that the stove may have something to do with that, but we'll talk more about that later.
I was getting ready to post last night when my sister called with HUGE news. Needless to say, I ended up on the phone forever talking about her exciting new life! She doesn't want anyone to share her news until she's ready, but if you try hard enough I'll bet you can guess what it is.

Maybe it will require you to do a ton of extra knitting...? Those are the best kinds of surprises, I think! Love the t-shirt with the cardi. Not enough people wear light cardis...

My Grandma taught me to crochet, and I was super close to her, in fact I live in her old house now, which I really love, as it's filled with memories. And funnily enough, one of my favourite places is the kitchen, where I had so many happy memories. It's totally unrecognisable from when she owned the house, (she was a big fan of the colour brown- and that had to go!!)but I still feel that closeness. She also had her "stories" as well, that made me laugh.
